Family Therapy
Family Therapy is a form of counseling designed to address specific issues that impact the psychological health of the family such as major life transitions or mental health conditions. Family counseling aims to promote understanding and collaboration among family members in order to solve the problems of the family system.
Family therapy does not focus on solely one member of the family, but more on how the structure of the family itself contributes to the presenting problem. Your therapist believes that each member of the family plays a very important role in helping to alleviate the current stressors. Each participant will work on ways to show up as supportive, attentive members in the family makeup.
Family counseling sessions are offered using a telehealth format (via video which is secure and HIPPA compliant).
